Free Support from the Capital Group

 

As part of a range of initiatives to support people affected by the economic downturn, Capital Group has access to funding from the European Social Fund and the Learning and Skills Council to support anyone who has been unemployed for less than 6 months. As one of our regular contractors, we are pleased to be able to offer you a completely free training course.

 

The first course we have set up is a plastering course, which starts on a Monday of each week. Normally the course lasts two weeks, but you can also spread the course over a longer period, by doing modules of 1 week or less. If you would like to achieve an official accreditation, Capital Goldtrowel could induct you on to an NVQ level 2 course during the third week of training. One of our assessors would then guide you through a portfolio building exercise (usually three to six months) and upon completion you would receive a construction award alliance NVQ level 2 certification.

 

Training will take place at: Capital Goldtrowel Limited, Asheton Farm, Tysea Hill, Stapleford, Abbots, Essex, RM4 1JU.

 

 

To qualify for training you must:


  • Sign a declaration saying that you are not working
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Have been out of work for less than 6 months due to redundancy
  • Lived in the UK for more than 3 years
  • Currently living in North London Boroughs of Havering, Barking, Dagenham, Redbridge, Brentwood.

We may also be able to offer you a bricklaying or tiling course so please let us know if you would like to do either of these as well.
